Upon arrival, we were greeted with a complimentary glass of Bucks Fizz, setting a delightful tone for our weekend escape. The staff were consistently welcoming, always ready with a smile and attentive service, which made our stay feel even more special. Our room was a haven of tranquility, boasting views of the stunning gardens that envelop the property. We took full advantage of the delightful afternoon tea, indulging in scones with clotted cream and a selection of sandwiches, which was the perfect accompaniment to our leisurely afternoon. The hotel's location is a dream for outdoor enthusiasts; we explored the rolling hills and quaint villages around Blackwood. At the end of each adventurous day, unwinding with a drink in the charming lounge bar felt like the icing on the cake. For anyone looking for a romantic getaway sprinkled with history and elegance, Maes Manor is simply a gem I highly recommend!
